Supporting Andover Schools and Educators: How ASB Gives Back to the Community

At Andover State Bank, supporting local schools and educators is one of the ways we stay connected to the Andover, Kansas community. This year, ASB was proud to participate in the Andover Chamber of Commerce’s New Educator’s Breakfast and School Supply Drive, helping welcome new teachers and provide resources for local students.

At Andover State Bank, being a local bank means being part of the community—not just doing business here. We’re proud to support the people, organizations, and schools that help make Andover, Kansas a great place to live and work.

This year, we were excited to take part in the Andover Chamber of Commerce’s New Educator’s Breakfast and School Supply Drive, two great opportunities to welcome new educators and help local students and teachers start the school year prepared.

Welcoming New Educators to Andover

The Andover Chamber of Commerce’s New Educator’s Breakfast brought new teachers from across the community together at Andover Central High School to kick off the new school year.

Starting a new teaching position—or beginning a career in education—is a big milestone. The breakfast gave local businesses and organizations an opportunity to welcome these educators to Andover and show them that their community is behind them.

ASB was happy to be part of that welcome. We created custom composition notebooks for the new educators attending the breakfast—something useful for the classroom and a small way to let them know we’re cheering them on.

Teachers play an important role in shaping the next generation of our community. We’re grateful for the time, energy, and care they bring to our local schools every day.

Giving Back Through the School Supply Drive

We also served as a participating location for the Andover Chamber of Commerce’s School Supply Drive.

Community members were invited to donate school supplies at participating local businesses, including ASB. The supplies collected throughout the drive were then donated to support our local school district.

It’s easy to overlook how important everyday school supplies can be. A notebook, folder, or box of pencils can help a student walk into the first day of school feeling ready to learn.

We’re thankful to everyone who stopped by ASB to donate. Every contribution was another example of our community coming together to support local students and teachers.

Community Starts With Showing Up

We believe community involvement is simply part of being a local bank.

For more than a century, ASB has been rooted in the communities we serve. We know that strong communities are built when local businesses, organizations, schools, and neighbors show up for one another.

The New Educator’s Breakfast and School Supply Drive are great examples of that in action. They may seem like simple things, but together, they make a difference.

We’re proud to support Andover’s educators, students, and schools, and we’re grateful to the Andover Chamber of Commerce and everyone who helped make these initiatives possible.

From all of us at ASB, we wish our teachers, administrators, staff, and students a great school year!

We’re proud to be your local bank—and even prouder to be part of the community we call home.
