On occasion, we may hear from a customer who, after they called for an account balance, wonder why they were charged a $2 fee. We’d like to explain why.
We spend a lot of money on the technology we offer to our customers, free of charge, so they can have real-time access to their accounts. You may access your account in the following ways:
(1) 1-800-xxx-xxxx. This is a toll-free phone number where, after you established certain security measures, you can access your accounts to find out your balances or to hear a list of your recent transactions.
(2) Visit us in person. We have two locations, one in Andover and the other in Wichita. Stop by. We are happy to provide you with your balance and any other information you request.
(3) Online. Our Online Banking platform is chock full of features that show your balance, help pay your bills, deposit checks made payable to you, and transfer money from one ASB account to another. We understand if you’re leery about online banking, but rest assured because our system has never been breached.
(4) Mobile. Along with our Online Banking platform, we also offer mobile phone and table applications, which are free to download in Apple’s App Store or through Google Play. Your sign-in for the app is the same as your online banking account. You can do everything on the app that you can do from the Online Banking platform.
On the whole, we adopted these technology platforms for two reasons: (1) our customers want them and (2) our competitors either offer or will offer them. But like most things, they cost money. We offer them for free; but to do so, we must recoup the cost when customers choose not to use them.
